The State of LD: Click for DVD FAQ Introduction 00: LD is pretty much history now.
No new LD titles are being released in the US, and production may also have ceased in Japan. Consequently, with the recent migration of this web site, I've removed some of the uselessly old material.

Nonetheless, there is an active resale market in used media and players. The articles remaining here may be of use to those in the market, and of interest to the curious.

The gaps in the legacy article numbers are not entirely due to deletions. The numeric assignments left more than ample space for additions never written.

I am not actively maintaining this information, nor keeping up to date on LD, DVD or home theatre generally.
